Upon marriage with Anne Neville, Richard came into ownership of an array of castles, manors and holdings principally within the present-day counties of Cumbria, County Durham and North Yorkshire. One of the NDRIIIG\u2019s aims is to promote Richard III\u2019s association with this locality and to help connect people with the medieval era, its personalities, events and places.
